ProspectAPIs

Fresh funding rounds.
Cited prospect briefs.
From one API key.

Know who just raised, and what to say to them.

ProspectAPIs is a REST API that gives sales teams and their agents fresh funding rounds and a sourced brief on any company, from one key. Every claim carries its source, so nothing you say on a call is a guess.

Per our API reference, a funding search takes 9 filters and returns up to 100 records a page, each with the URL where the round was announced.

  • $1 free to start
  • No card to sign up
  • Every field cited
  • Pay per record, no seats

One key, three products

Search funding rounds on demand, get new matches pushed to your webhook, and research what to say to them. Your agent can call all three through the MCP server, on npm now.

Funding signals Live

Venture rounds, debt, grants and IPOs, newest first. Filter by date, round, amount, investor and country.

  • 9 filters plus paging; unknown ones refused
  • Announced date, round stage and amount in USD
  • Investors and lead investors per round
  • Source URL on every record
$0.02 per record returnedDocs

Watchlists Live

Save funding filters and a webhook. Each new matching round is pushed to you, signed, as it lands.

  • One signed POST per new matching round
  • HMAC-SHA256 signature and a delivery id
  • Billed only when your webhook answers 2xx
  • Last 50 deliveries and their outcome
$0.02 per delivered recordDocs

Prospect research New

One call turns a domain, email, LinkedIn URL or name into a cited brief for account research, a call or outreach.

  • 10 sections, every field with its sources
  • Hooks and draft first lines for outreach
  • Ready in 20 to 90 seconds, poll by id
  • Refunded in full if a brief fails
$0.15 per completed briefDocs

MCP server On npm

Every API as tools for MCP clients such as Claude Code and Cursor. Published on npm as prospectapis-mcp (MIT); run it with npx -y prospectapis-mcp.

  • 25 tools, one per endpoint
  • Tools that spend credits are marked as writes
  • Same API key and credits as REST
  • npx -y prospectapis-mcp

Where sales teams put it to work

From the call that starts in five minutes to the outbound list that refreshes every morning.

Prospect research

Pre-call research in the minute before you dial

Send the domain from the calendar invite with purpose pre_call and your product as context. The brief comes back with why they would care, likely objections and discovery questions.

Details

Every statement is tagged fact, interpretation or angle, so a sales suggestion never reads as something the prospect said.

Prospect research

Outreach that cites something real

purpose outreach returns what changed at the company and three to five hooks. Each hook is a dated, cited fact, what it suggests, the angle and a draft first line.

Details

No hook without a source, so a message built on them cannot read as templated.

Account research for a target list

Run the default account_research purpose across a named account list to get company, traction, competitors, news, people, risks and regions for each.

Details

A field the sources do not support is null, never a guess, so a thin account shows up as thin.

Funding-triggered outbound

Save a watchlist with round, amount and country filters and a webhook. Each new matching round is pushed to you as it lands, so outreach starts the day budgets open.

Details

Each delivery costs one record and is charged only when your webhook answers 2xx.

Enrich accounts with their funding history

Look up a domain to attach every round we hold, the lead investors and the announced date to the account in your CRM.

Details

domain is an exact match and investor is a case-insensitive exact name, so the join is predictable.

MCP

Prospecting from inside your agent

Install the MCP server (npx -y prospectapis-mcp) and your MCP client searches rounds, starts research briefs and manages watchlists in plain language, with the same key and credits as the REST API.

Details

Five tools write: research_submit spends credits, the watchlist create, test and delete tools change state, and feedback_send reports to the team. Every other tool only reads, so a client can ask before it spends.

Need a field we do not return yet?

Send it to the team from your own code or agent with POST /v1/feedback. It is free, and reports go straight to the people who build the API.

An MCP server for your agent On npm

Every endpoint is a tool your MCP client can call. Published on npm as prospectapis-mcp (MIT); run it with npx -y prospectapis-mcp.

Install

Add it to Claude Code with one command, or to any MCP client as npx -y prospectapis-mcp with your API key in PROSPECTAPIS_API_KEY. Setup for each client is on the MCP page.

Pricing

Each tool bills exactly like the API call it makes: funding_search like GET /v1/funding, research_submit like POST /v1/research.

One tool per endpoint

The same filters, limits and errors as the REST routes they wrap.

Prices in the tool text

Each tool states what it costs, and account_balance reports your balance and prices.

Submit, then poll

research_submit returns an id at once; research_get reads it until completed or failed.

Standard transport

It speaks plain MCP over stdio, so it is not tied to one client.

Built from sources you can open

A brief reads the company's own pages, searches the news and joins our funding table. Then it keeps only what a source states.

Kept apart from facts so it never reads as something the prospect said.

Research your team can say out loud

A claim with no valid citation is dropped before the brief is saved. News, risks and people may not rest on a search snippet alone. Keys are stored as hashes, every table sits behind row-level security, and a brief that fails costs nothing.
