Funding data and research
as tools for your agent
The MCP server gives any MCP client 14 tools, one per endpoint, with the same API key and credits as the REST API.
Install
The ProspectAPIs MCP server is a Model Context Protocol server, published on npm as prospectapis-mcp (MIT), that lets an AI agent call every ProspectAPIs endpoint as a tool, with the same API key and the same credits as the REST API. Per our tool registry, it declares 14 tools, and 5 of them are marked as writes because they spend credits or change state.
It needs Node.js 22 or later and an API key from your dashboard. Claude Code, in one command:
claude mcp add prospectapis -e PROSPECTAPIS_API_KEY=pa_live_... -- npx -y prospectapis-mcpClaude Desktop, Cursor and other clients that read an mcpServers config:
{
"mcpServers": {
"prospectapis": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "prospectapis-mcp"],
"env": { "PROSPECTAPIS_API_KEY": "pa_live_..." }
}
}
}Keep the key in that config or your environment, never in a prompt. The keyless pricing_get and api_version tools work before you add one.
Each tool calls one REST route from the API reference: funding signals, watchlists and prospect research.
